2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, profile photo, and password.
- Profile Data: Travel preferences, interests, biography, and social media links you choose to share.
- User-Generated Content: Travel stories, photos, videos, reviews, comments, itineraries, and any other content you create, upload, or share on WeWiGo. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content within the Service for the purpose of operating and promoting the platform.
- Communications: Messages you send to other users or to our support team.
- Payment Information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment details are processed securely by our third-party payment processor. We do not store your full credit card number.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, browser type, and language settings.
- Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, search queries, time spent on the Service, and interaction patterns.
- Location Data: With your consent, we may collect precise or approximate location data from your device to provide location-based features such as nearby destinations and offline maps.

4. User-Generated Content Policy
WeWiGo is a community-driven platform where users share travel experiences. By submitting content to WeWiGo, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
4.1 Content Ownership
You retain ownership of the content you create. However, by posting content on WeWiGo, you grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, copy, modify, display, and distribute your content in connection with operating and promoting the Service.
4.2 Content Responsibility
You are solely responsible for the content you post. Content must not:
- Infringe on any third party's intellectual property or privacy rights.
- Contain false, misleading, or deceptive information.
- Include illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or obscene material.
- Contain malware, spam, or unauthorized advertising.
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
4.3 Content Moderation
We reserve the right to review, edit, or remove any user-generated content at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for any reason, including but not limited to violations of this policy or our Terms of Service.
4.4 Content Used in Advertising
We may feature user-generated content alongside advertisements displayed within the Service. Your content will not be sold to third-party advertisers, but it may appear in proximity to ads served through our advertising partners.
5. Advertising and Third-Party Ad Services
WeWiGo displays advertisements within the app and website to support our free-tier service. We partner with third-party advertising networks, including but not limited to:
- Google Ads / Google AdMob: Google serves ads based on your interests, demographics, and activity. Google may use cookies and advertising identifiers to personalize ads.
- Other Ad Networks: We may work with additional advertising partners who use similar technologies to deliver relevant advertisements.
5.1 How Ads Work
Our advertising partners may collect and use the following data to serve personalized ads:
- Device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID, IDFA).
- IP address and approximate location.
- Browsing and in-app activity.
- Demographic and interest data.
5.2 Opting Out of Personalized Ads
You can manage your ad preferences through:
- Google Ads Settings: Visit Google Ads Settings to control personalized advertising.
- Device Settings: On Android, go to Settings > Privacy > Ads. On iOS, go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- WeWiGo App Settings: You can adjust ad personalization preferences within the app under Settings > Privacy > Ad Preferences.
Please note that opting out of personalized ads does not eliminate advertising. You will still see ads, but they may be less relevant to your interests.
5.3 Ad Revenue and Free Service
Ad revenue helps us provide the Explorer (free) tier of WeWiGo at no cost. Paid subscribers (Adventurer and Globetrotter plans) enjoy a reduced or ad-free experience.
6. Sharing Your Information
We may share your information in the following circumstances:
- With Other Users: Your profile information, travel stories, and content you make public are visible to other WeWiGo users.
- With Service Providers: We share data with trusted third-party vendors who assist us in operating the Service (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics, customer support, payment processing).
- With Advertising Partners: As described in Section 5, certain data is shared with ad networks to deliver relevant advertisements.
- For Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms, to protect your data in accordance with applicable laws.
